Privacy Policy

Thank you for choosing to use Sippr (hereafter known as the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how Sippr LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use our services. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Information You Provide

Cocktail Reviews: When you submit a review, we collect that data about the cocktail (including its name, rating, tags/descriptors, base liquor, and any notes you provide).
Place Information: We collect and store the name and location of the place associated with your review.
Account Information: If you choose to create an account or sign in, we collect personal information used for Firebase Authentication (e.g., email address, unique user identifier, or similar login credentials) and your name for your profile.

1.2. Automatically Collected Information

Usage Information: We may automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, such as the features or pages accessed, session length, and other diagnostic data.
Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
IP Address: Some of the third-party services we use (described below) may log your IP address for security, analytics, and troubleshooting purposes.

Apple MapKit

Our App uses Apple’s MapKit framework to display map data (e.g., places for cocktails, nearby services). Apple may collect certain information as a result of your use of MapKit, which can include:

Location Data: If you grant our App permission to access location services, Apple may process approximate or precise location data through MapKit to display relevant map information.
Device and Usage Information: Apple may also collect information about your device (e.g., IP address, device identifiers) and how you interact with map features in order to improve their services.

Opting Out of Location Services

If you do not wish to share location data with us or Apple MapKit, you can refuse or revoke the App’s permission to access location services at any time through your device’s settings. Doing so may affect certain features (e.g., viewing nearby cocktail places or receiving location-based recommendations), but the core functionality of the App will remain available.

We also use several Firebase services (a Google offering) to power and improve the App:

Firebase Authentication

Enables users to create accounts and log in securely.
May collect information such as IP addresses and metadata (e.g., user agent) to detect abuse and ensure account security.

Cloud Firestore

Stores user-generated content (listed above).

Firebase Crashlytics

Collects crash reports to help us identify and fix stability issues in the App.
May gather limited diagnostic data such as IP addresses, device info, and timestamps to understand crash circumstances.

Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

Collects usage statistics and engagement metrics, which may include anonymized IP addresses, device information, and app usage patterns.
This is necessary for us to better understand how users interact with the App so we can improve features, navigation, and overall experience.

Provide and Maintain the App: To operate and improve the App’s features, including allowing you to create, edit, and view cocktail reviews.

If you use the App from outside the United States (or another country where our servers or service providers are located), you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations for processing and storage.
